If you're here,
you may be asking yourself...
Why does this hurt so much?
How can I get past the anger and grief?
Why did this happen?
Will I ever feel like myself again?
How do I move forward when I didn't want this relationship to end?
Can I learn to trust myself and others again?
Am I going to keep repeating the same patterns?
What if I end up alone?

Through the support of the group and the Rebuilders process, you will
What to expect
The Rebuilders Divorce Recovery Workshop is one of the most effective and well-respected programs available for people navigating separation, divorce, and relationship loss. Most participants come through referrals from former graduates, therapists, and friends who have experienced the program firsthand.
Research shows that Rebuilders significantly shortens the recovery process by providing the tools, support, and guidance needed to heal, grow, and move forward with greater confidence. Participants complete a divorce recovery self-assessment before the first and final workshop sessions. On average, participants show a 25–50% improvement in their recovery scores from the beginning to the end of the program.
You'll experience a confidential, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can focus on your own healing. This is not a dating group. The focus is on healing, growth, and recovery. One of the workshop's most powerful aspects is the community. As you connect with others who understand what you're going through, you'll build meaningful relationships and a sense of connection that continues long after the workshop ends. Participants agree not to date during the workshop so everyone can focus on their own healing. After graduation, however, those restrictions no longer apply.

The workshop is facilitated by Susan Lester, LCSW, LCAS, with support from Rebuilders graduates who volunteer their time to encourage participants, share their experiences, and help foster connection within the group.
What we'll cover
The Rebuilders Divorce Recovery Workshop is a 24-hour, 12-week program designed to help you heal from relationship loss and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-awareness.
Using the proven Rebuilders curriculum, we'll explore the areas of your life most impacted by separation, divorce, or the end of a significant relationship. Topics include grief, anger, self-worth, relationship patterns, trust, forgiveness, and creating a healthier future.
As the weeks progress, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, learn practical tools for healing, and identify patterns that no longer serve you.
You'll also do this work alongside others who understand what you're going through. Participants leave not only with new insights and skills, but also with meaningful connections and a supportive community.
Facilitated social activities
One of the hardest parts of separation and divorce is the isolation. Friends and family often care deeply, but may not fully understand what you're going through or how to help. As a result, many people feel disconnected at a time when they need support the most.
That's why we offer a variety of optional social activities throughout the workshop. These gatherings provide an opportunity to connect with others, build friendships, and rediscover what it feels like to enjoy life again.
Activities may include dinners, concerts, hikes, festivals, coffee meetups, outdoor events, and other fun happenings around Raleigh and the surrounding areas. Whether you attend one event or many, these experiences can help you build meaningful connections and create a sense of community beyond the classroom.
We'll support you every step of the way.
